Studio Inn & Suites At Promenade Downey

We had a spacious room with good facilities. During our stay (3 nights) every day the room was very well cleaned. The manager and his employers were very friendly and helpfull. They gave us good advice about several highlites for our visit of Los Angeles. We can recommend Studio Inn & Suites Downey if you want to visit Los Angeles. It's just a 30' drive to Hollywood, Venice Beach and the citycentre. Very good value for money.

Close to freeway.

Suite with two queen beds, but one tiny bathroom - no other mirror, vanity, etc. Noisy - room about 6' from main road. Threadbare, scratchy towels. Coffee-maker - balanced precariously on a plastic tray partially overhanging the sink in the bathroom - didn't work. Extremely poor value for money.

great value but minor cleanliness issues

The location made it easy to access nearby highways. The room had a modern decor which enhanced the overall ambiance .

There were a few areas that could use better attention to detail regarding cleaning.

We stayed here for 6 nights and thoroughly enjooyed it, the owners were wonderful and went out of their way to help! The location was ideal being very close to the freeway and a couple of clocks from a large shopping mall with various restaurants.

The hotel is well located, the neighborhood is very nice and quiet, near to shopping, universal studios, disneyland, hollywood, beaches. I think was a very good election for a family trip.First I was for two days and I back for four days more

I'd like more variety in breakfast

Everything was great! Mike was helpful, very good services. The room was big and clean. Free wifi and breakfast. I'll stay here again next time I come to Downey ;)

Easy to find, serviceminded staff

The King Room offered a great view of the courtyard, and there were no difficulties with parking. The amenities included a refrigerator and microwave, a large bed with ample pillows, and daily cleaning, which enhanced the comfort of the stay. The check-in process took longer than expected, and the decor is quite dated, showing signs of wear. Although the Wi-Fi connection was inconsistent, the surrounding area is lively with numerous cafes and shops.

The room was very nice and well kempt.

The staff was very rude and kept asking 21 questions about me and my friends stay and as to why we wanted seperate beds if he's a guy and i'm a girl. When I wouldn't be looking the guy would make inappropriate suggestions about me to my gay best friend. Not ammused. And when I went back to ask what the room number was since he didn't write it on the key he gave an attitude as if annoyed I asked.

The staff was polite and informative. The rooms were clean and in excellent condition. I often travel to California to see family and would stay there again and again. The room was spacious and comfortable. The tub and shower were clean and sanitary. A+++++++++. Convenient shopping close by.

I had a decent stay at this motel. the free breakfast was nice, beds were super comfy, and the cleanliness was on point! a solid experience, but I was disappointed by the lack of utensils at breakfast.

Must have a Car, because LA downtown & Hollywood is a 20 minutes drive.

The Studio Inn and Suites in Downey CA A nice small hotel, Very clean and well maintained. Parking lot was small but not so small that it takes 5 mins to park. The hotel employees were very nice and helpful. The room we stayed in was surprisingly large for the size of the hotel. It was a welcomed suprise, room was clean. A++++++ hotel

Is this worth it? Read this first

The king room was very cute and clean. I enjoyed the comfortable amenities. The microwave and refrigerator were handy for my stay.

Check-in was slow and I experienced noise disturbances from adjacent rooms, which affected my overall comfort .

The bed was comfortable, but the shower was tricky to operate.
